CAREFREE THEATRE

The Carefree Theater redevelopment project has received much buzz with local media outlets lately. The original facility was demolished in September of 2016 to make way for a new historically inspired mixed-use theater. Schmidt Nichols provided urban planning services for this high profile project, and is currently working with the City of West Palm Beach to obtain a variance on the height restrictions for this unique development.

 

The proposed architectural design for the Carefree Theater includes six auditoriums for arthouse and foreign films. The first level is planned for restaurants and retail space and the upper levels would house high-end luxury apartments.
